Things I’m thankful for

1) Friends and family who make sure I have crutches and food
2) a very good GP
3) Vioxx
4) My little red makeup stool with wheels, which, it turns out, is perfect for scooting around house
5) a first floor master bedroom (and bath)
6) a shower with a seat in it
7) a boss who understands why I can’t work sitting up for long stretches
8) insurance
9) a boyfriend who is coming home tonight

  1. “My little red makeup stool”
The image that evokes is so cute, yet pitiful…
Put the boyfriend to work… despite our reputation, we men can cook and clean if we have to.

That’s me, cute, yet pitiful ;-)
Boyfriend is actually quite useful in cooking, cleaning and fixing, all of which are desired traits.

    • Thanks, Peter — am tryign to be as positive as possible. All things told (a) it could’ve been much worse and (b) I could’ve been far less well-suited for dealing with it.

You know, a little stool you sit on to put on your makeup (ok, maybe that’s just me?) Vanity stool?
Little (almost always), red (rarely), stool (duh) with wheels (usually) for sitting in front of vanity table.

  2. oh NO!
I was coming over here to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind words of sympathy for Tasha, and apologize for my tardiness. My dsl was down for four DAYS and in trying to fix it, they shorted out a TRANSFORMER, frying my cell phone and the charger (which of course has all my numbers programmed in…)
and LOOK what I missed! You are HURT, and I didn’t know…and now the weekend is OVER. darn.
Please accept my get well PRAYERS and let me know if you NEED anything.
    Hugs, dearest.

You’re the best — thanks for the kind wishes and happy get-well thoughts. I have been well cared for (I am a lucky girl, all told), and I’m quite willing to sit on my a%$ until this thing heals (which *must* be before europe…that’s my only worry at this point).
But I’m much better today, and will be better still tomorrow, I’m sure.
Still want to have lunch sometime though — miss you! (Was I right about the college, BTW?)
