It *really* annoys me that I can’t open a standard 16oz soda bottle without assistance from the jar-opener thingy (or a boy, which in this case works out to be roughly the same thing).
It hurts! It’s not that I’m not strong enough (I am plenty strong), it’s that the little ridge-y things on the cap hurt my hands. (Ok, maybe I’m a wuss). Have they made them harder open so that they’re more thoroughly “Sealed for My Protection”?
(And don’t even get me started on “twist-off” beer caps.)

May I suggest wrist/forearm exercisers? I started uing one when I was waiting for compiles, and now I have popeye forearms. I hurt my skin before I run out of lid torque now.
And I’m still a delecate flower :-)

It’s not the strength… it’s that the skin of my little hands hurts! I’ve got plenty of muscle (witness the fact I can open them easily when hands are pretected by little rubber jar-opener-thingie), but when I grip the little cap, the little ridges *hurt*.
I’ve actually torn the skin of my palm on a (normal) twist-off bottlecap. (Then opened sucessfull & without injury by someone else).

Actually that’s a user preference you can toggle. It seems like there are people who have nothing better to do that leave offensive/obcene comments in random ppl’s journals. A lot of people who were runnign Movable Type (I think that was it) had to turn off their comments a couple of months back because someone went on a spree.
